haha thomas lang just aint having his day on this forum lately....poor guy...but all the stuff that has been said is true none-the-less but at least hes probably happy being able to live in london have a wife and new born twins and be able to feed his family through drumming whatever it is he may do

I'm loving that little sample from Spokes at the end of Steve's blush-da video, so I had a listen to the actual track and decided to try and work out the madness that I was hearing. I've done a little transcription of the drum intro and the first 4 bars (the blushda appears again in bar 2 lol!). It may not be 100% accurate but i'm pretty happy with it. Note that the blushda sticking is inverted so that he can move his right hand around the toms, and his left hand stays on the snare playing the grace notes. The final flam has the grace note played on the high tom.
Seeing this stuff written down only reinforces that undeniable fact that Vinnie is a god!!

Man, I had no idea what it was for ages. But now I'm pretty sure that it is 'Blushda-Based' and that my transcription is correct. This is the midi output from my transcription and it sounds just like the recording
